Great crested newt and Natterjack toad surveys
Solway Ecology provide a range of services related to amphibians and reptiles including great crested newts and natterjack toads throughout Scotland and the North of England. These include surveys, assessments and mitigation.
Solway Ecology is licensed to conduct great-crested newt and natterjack toad surveys which are protected under British and European law.
We survey all ponds within 500m of a proposed development for the presence of great crested newts. It is important, therefore, to identify whether there are ponds within the proposed site area at an early stage of a proposed development.
To determine presence or absence of great crested newts or natterjack toads, multiple survey visits are required.
